Products That Really Made My Routine Easier in 2025

In this post, I've gathered items I actually used in 2025 and would buy again without thinking twice. They're small things, but they make a big difference in the busy routine here in Japan.

LIFE IN JAPAN

Not every "viral" product is worth it.

Living in Japan—with a small house, busy routine, and a baby—I've learned to value simple, functional products that truly make daily life easier.

In this post, I've gathered items I actually used in 2025 and would buy again without thinking twice. They're small things, but they make a big difference in my routine.

I've divided them into categories for you:

HOME

Cleaning Cloth – Scotch Brite Dry Sheets

This was one of those finds you don't think much of… until you use it.

Scotch Brite's Dry Sheets are great for quick daily cleaning, dusting furniture, wiping down countertops and surfaces without getting everything wet. It's truly a dry cloth—it picks up all dirt, hair, dust... basically everything we don't want!

Why does it work so well in Japan?

We don't always have time (or motivation) to get a bucket, wet cloth, and cleaner. This product helps with that quick daily cleaning to maintain the deeper cleaning you've already done. In just five minutes you can wipe down the whole house and then just throw it away.

Great for those who want to keep their house tidy without effort.

KITCHEN

Freezing Containers

Essential. Simple as that.

These little containers help a lot with freezing small portions, avoiding waste, and organizing the fridge and freezer.

In my home, they're used to store prepared food, keep frozen fruits, and especially: baby food. I freeze everything... rice, beans, fruits, vegetables, and even milk in these containers.

Prefer stackable containers of the same size—this saves A LOT of space, especially in Japanese freezers.

The secret: You don't need to buy many. You can freeze and then the next day remove everything from the containers and put them in a zip-lock bag. Then just label by writing on the bag what it is and the date it was made. Done!

A small investment that becomes a great routine ally.

BABY

Allergen Introduction Kit – Spoon Time

This product was a game-changer in food introduction.

Spoon Time helps introduce major allergens gradually, safely, and practically.

Without needing to prepare separate recipes all the time. Plus, it's designed for introduction in small, safe doses, exposing the baby within the perfect immunity window to reduce the chance of allergies.

Why did I like it so much? It really simplifies the routine, provides more security, and avoids skipping important steps.

Ideal for parents who want practicality without compromising care.

SELF-CARE

Hadalabo and Rohto Moisturizing Lotions

If there are brands that became favorites in my home, they're: Hadalabo and Rohto. There are various options for each skin type.

What I love about these lotions: light texture, effective hydration, no strong fragrance, and they're great for sensitive skin. That's why they made my life so much easier this year. With the rush of work, baby, house care... it's very practical to use a product like this.

Differences between them:

🔵 Blue: Deep hydration, but with light texture. Focused on brightening action. I prefer to use this in winter as it has stronger hydration, but still doesn't leave any sticky feeling.

🟡 Yellow (Melano CC): Light hydration and evening out skin tone, controlling oiliness, fighting spots and free radicals. It's my favorite, especially in summer, as it doesn't leave any sticky feeling on the skin.

NOTE: Melano CC is from Rohto, which also produces Hadalabo products, but they're different brands.

🔴 Red: Focus on anti-aging, with deep hydration.

Perfect for those who want to care for their skin without complications.

Conclusion

These aren't "miracle" products—they're functional products designed for real routine, especially for those living in Japan.

Right small choices:

✔️ Save time
✔️ Reduce stress
✔️ Make daily life easier
